Diagnostic Hearing Test

If we find there is an issue with your hearing, or if you require a more comprehensive assessment, the next step is to complete a full diagnostic hearing test. This is to gain a complete overview of your hearing so we can best identify and treat your hearing loss. We will look at:

• A full hearing history
• Otoscopy
• Pure tone audiometry
• Speech audiometry
• Tympanometry
• Acoustic reflexes
• Comprehensive report to your GP

This will provide detailed information about your hearing, helping to identify the cause and type of your hearing loss, as well as how to best treat it. This is the first step before any hearing aids are fitted or tinnitus rehabilitation is put in place.
